Sydney pub. About 10.40am on Sunday, November 8, two men allegedly entered the Alroy Tavern on Rooty Hill Rd, Plumpton, one armed with a pistol, and the other a knife. Police will allege staff at the premises were threatened by the pair who took cash, before leaving in a blue-coloured Subaru station wagon, driven by a third man. About 10.15am the next day, police executed a search warrant at a home in Seven Hills. Two 26-year-old men were arrested a short time later and were charged with armed robbery and refused bail, both are before the courts. About 8pm last Tuesday, a third man, aged 31, was arrested at Blacktown police station. He was charged with armed robbery and was refused bail to appear at Blacktown Court.
A St Marys man, 31, will face court this month charged with drinkdriving. About 11pm on Thursday, police were called to Belmore Avenue at Mt Druitt by a witness concerned with the driving manner of the man. Police were there a short time later and allegedly found the man in his vehicle intoxicated. Police will allege the man refused to submit a breath test. The man was arrested and taken to Mt Druitt police station, where he also allegedly continued to refuse to submit to a breath analysis. As a result, police suspended the man’s licence and issued him with a Court Attendance Notice to face Mt Druitt Court later this month.
