SYDNEY turned on a stunner last week for NewsLocal’s second #SnapSydney — A Day in the Life event.

And didn’t you all grab the opportunity to showcase Sydney in all its glory.

Sydneysiders posted thousands of pictures, starting before dawn and flooding in through the day and well into the night.

shots, morning exercise routines, journeys to and from work, kids and animals at play, sunsets, city lights, food, even a few new babies - they all helped document 24 hours in our beautiful city.

My day began early at Bankstown Airport for a flight to see Sydney from the air. I have to say there is no better way to experience Sydney on a fine morning.

Then it was off to Parramatta to chill out for a while in Centenary Square.

On to Martin Place, where a mobile screen flashed up peoples’ photos and food, drinks and entertainment were on offer.

I think I unwittingly provided some of the entertainment as I tried to join in the Lulu Lemon Yoga demonstration. Let’s just say my downward dog was more wayward wombat.

Finally I made it to Bondi Beach where there was time for a quick paddle to cool off at the end of a hot day.

I can’t wait for next year’s event. In the meantime, I’ll practise my yoga moves.
