BOY FROM THE BUSH IS BACK
TROY KEMP LIVE IN CONCERT
COUNTRY music fans will be in for a treat with Australian music sensation Troy Kemp set to play at Rooty Hill RSL this Friday.
Kemp, formerly part of country music duo McAlister Kemp with Drew McAlister, has helped bring country music to the forefront of Australia’s music industry.
But now, Kemp will forge his own path after the popular pair decided to take a hiatus in March.
“It was time to take a break,” he said.
“I really want to have a dig at the national market (on my own).”
Fans at Rooty Hill RSL will hear him perform songs from debut solo album Against the Grain, which features his hit single How We Roll Around Here, which has already hit number 1 on The Country Music Channel’s top 50 countdown.
Known for his high-energy performances, the country music star will delight fans on Friday night. Kemp said he was excited ahead of his first solo show at Rooty Hill - the home of country music in Western Sydney.
“I’m hoping for a big night at Rooty Hill (RSL Club),” he said.
Against the Grain has been described by Kemp as “the album that will define my career” and has kicked off a number of firsts for both him and the album’s producer.
He developed the solo album with good friend and guitarist Jeremy Barnes.
“I really feel like it’s (the album) me,” he said.
Tickets for the show are $25 for adults and $15 for kids. For more information or to buy tickets to the show, visit rootyhillrsl.com.au
