Woman, 18, faces court in relation to Sedgman Crescent shooting
A WOMAN will face court today following a shooting at Shalvey on Thursday.
Shortly before 8.30am, Mt Druitt police were called to Piccolo Way, near the intersection of Sedgman Crescent, after reports a shot had been fired from a vehicle.
Witnesses have told police a green Holden Commodore drove through the intersection and someone allegedly fired a shot toward two boys riding pushbikes.
No one was injured during the incident and the vehicle allegedly fled the scene.
A crime scene was established and examined by detectives and specialist officers from the Dog Unit.
An 18-year-old woman was arrested on Monday in Guilford, with assistance from Tactical Operations Group and officers attached to Holroyd Local Area Command.
She was taken to Parramatta police station and charged with five offences including fire firearm manner likely injure persons/ property, two counts of possess loaded firearm pub- lic place, carry firearm manner likely injure person/ property and drive motor vehicle during disqualification period.
The woman was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court yesterday.
