THERE were plenty of sore legs in Rooty Hill on Saturday after The Biggest Loser’s “Commando” took over Sydney Aquatic Centre’s Christmas party.

A long way from The Biggest Loser camp, Steve “The Commando” Willis held an intensive 45-minute bootcamp that had more than 400 members in agony for days.

Simon Greally, of Rooty Hill RSL, said the event was a huge success.

“The Commando absolutely smashed them, everyone is talking about how sore they are still – there was a lot of weight training,” he said.

The bootcamp session was part of SAGC’s Christmas party, with a 90minute Zumba session followed by a barbecue and drinks on the roof.

“It was something we wanted to give back to our members,” Mr Greally said. “We had free massages, free drinks and free food ...” With his wife Michelle Bridges due to give birth in the coming days, Willis still made time to hang around after the event.

Mr Greally said The Commando would be back for similar events in the new year.
