Po­lice are ap­peal­ing for pub­lic help af­ter a car was found alight in Coly­ton on Wed­nes­day morn­ing. Just be­fore 1.30am, emer­gency ser­vices were called to Sykes Place but when Fire and Res­cue NSW crews ar­rived, the Holden Com­modore sedan was al­ready com­pletely en­gulfed by flames. Ten res­i­dents in­side the home op­po­site the car, as well as sev­eral nearby neigh­bours, were evac­u­ated as a pre­cau­tion. St Marys po­lice es­tab­lished a crime scene. Ini­tial in­quiries sug­gest the fire was de­lib­er­ately lit. As in­ves­ti­ga­tions con­tinue, po­lice are ap­peal­ing for any wit­nesses, or any­one with in­for­ma­tion, to come for­ward.

2LETHBRIDGE

A Tregear man, 25, has been charged with driv­ing while un­li­censed. About 3.50pm on De­cem­ber 10, the man was al­legedly driv­ing his ve­hi­cle on Bougainville Rd at Leth­bridge Park when he was stopped by po­lice for a ran­dom breath test. Po­lice asked the 25-yearold to pro­duce his driver’s li­cence be­fore he al­legedly in­formed the of­fi­cers he didn’t have one. Checks con­ducted at the scene con­firmed the Tregear man had never held a driver’s li­cence. The man re­turned a neg­a­tive re­sult for al­co­hol.

MARYS A 66-year-old Coly­ton man has been charged with wil­ful and ob­scene ex­po­sure in/near a pub­lic place af­ter he al­legedly ex­posed him­self at a St Marys bus stop. About 5pm on De­cem­ber 12, a 23-year-old woman was at a bus ter­mi­nal with her two young chil­dren, aged nearly four and five months. It is al­leged the man threw items on the road, where the bus was to stop, be­fore ex­pos­ing him­self and uri­nat­ing on the ground in front of the woman, her chil­dren and oth­ers wait­ing at the ter­mi­nal. He will face Pen­rith Court on Jan­uary 7.

CLAIR A 29-year-old man has been charged with mid-range drink-driv­ing af­ter be­ing stopped for a ran­dom breath test at St Clair on De­cem­ber 12. About 2.40am, the Dora Creek man was stopped on the M4 Roper Rd off ramp where he was breath tested and al­legedly re­turned a pos­i­tive re­sult. The driver was taken to St Marys po­lice sta­tion where he un­der­went fur­ther test­ing and al­legedly re­turned a read­ing of 0.061. He will face Pen­rith Court in Jan­uary.

5COLYTON

Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing af­ter a 23-year-old man was stabbed at Coly­ton. About 6.45pm on De­cem­ber 8, emer­gency ser­vices re­sponded to re­ports that a man had been stabbed on Leonard St. Of­fi­cers found a man with a stab wound to his side. He was taken to West­mead Hos­pi­tal in a se­ri­ous but stable con­di­tion. A crime scene was es­tab­lished and an in­ves­ti­ga­tion is un­der­way. Of­fi­cers have been told shortly af­ter the stab­bing, a sil­ver car was seen leav­ing the area. 6HEBERSHAM

Mt Druitt po­lice have ar­rested a 29year-old Kemps Creek man for al­legedly possessing the pro­hib­ited drug ice. About 5.30pm on De­cem­ber 11, po­lice stopped the man on An­dover Cres­cent at He­ber­sham. Po­lice searched the man and al­legedly found drugs be­lieved to be methy­lam­phetamine. The man will face Mt Druitt Court at a later date.

MARYS A St Marys man has been fined for al­legedly abus­ing po­lice at Pen­rith. About 10.50am on Wed­nes­day, po­lice pa­trolling Woodriff St, Pen­rith, saw a man seated on a bench, who al­legedly started abus­ing
