THE An­gels fans should head to Rooty Hill RSL when a trib­ute to Aus­tralian rock leg­end Doc Nee­son’s birth­day starts the year off in style.

As part of the cel­e­bra­tions, his for­mer band mates are bring­ing his big­gest hits to Rooty Hill RSL.

The show prom­ises to get ev­ery­one singing and rock­ing out to his clas­sic hits.

Nee­son passed away two years ago af­ter a bat­tle with a brain tu­mour and mem­bers of his band – from 2007-2012 – have de­cided to com­mem­o­rate their leader on what would have been his 69th birth­day by re­peat­ing the set Nee­son played at his fi­nal pub­lic per­for­mance.

Feel­ing it was the right time to cel­e­brate his suc­cess, the band gath­ered some of Nee­son’s clos­est friends and fam­ily to de­velop this show, en­sur­ing that it will be one not to miss.

The show will con­sist of many of The An­gels hits in­clud­ing Am I WHAT: Doc Nee­son’s Birth­day Me­mo­rial WHEN: Mon­day, Jan­uary 4 TIME: 8pm COST: $20 WHERE: Rooty Hill RSL, 59 Sher­brooke St, Rooty Hill DE­TAILS: rooty­ Ever Gonna’ See Your Face Again, Com­ing Down, I Ain’t The One and Let The Night Roll On.

Hits from Nee­son’s later band – Doc Nee­son’s An­gels - will also be played at the show.

Fans can also look for­ward to some new ma­te­rial and cov­ers of some of Nee­son’s favourite songs of all time.

Al­ways been known for his ex­trav­a­gant live per­for­mances, this trib­ute show to the mas­ter will be no dif­fer­ent.

A few spe­cial guests are also ex­pected to take the stage at the show, so get down early or book your tick­ets on­line as this is sure to sell out.
