“Women can send a mes­sage to our Face­book page and we will pro­vide with as­sis­tance to what­ever ser­vices they need,” she said.

“We want to fo­cus on the em­pow­er­ment of women – to en­cour­age them to do any­thing they want to.”

Along with her Queens with­out Scars cam­paign, Mrs Can­cel­lier also de­votes her­self to the com­mu­nity and vol­un­teer­ing.

She said it was some­thing she al­ways wanted to do.

“My mother had me do­ing char­ity work from the age of five – start­ing with the Sal­va­tion Army ... I want to help wher­ever I can,” she said. The Mrs Galaxy fi­nals are on April 13-16 in Queens­land.
