Wiggle to Aussie music
CELEBRATIONS for Australia Day will include a double dose of Australian music when some of our most popular artists perform two free concerts on the Sydney Opera House forecourt.
The Wiggles will start their 25th anniversary celebrations with a concert from 10am.
Families will be able to sing along with their favourite Wiggles songs and enjoy Dorothy the Dinosaur, Wags the Dog, Henry the Octopus and Captain Feathersword.
The second concert, from 7.30pm, will be a tribute to Australian music which will also be broadcast live on Channel Ten.
Australia Day creative director John Foreman will bring together Australia’s brightest performers on the night, including Jessica Mauboy, Justice Crew, Thirsty Merc, Roy and HG, Cyrus and Bachelor Girl.
“From new and up-andcoming acts to heritage artists, the concert will be the perfect way to celebrate all that we love about Australia through music,” Mr Foreman said.
The concerts will be presented by Destination NSW.
Although tickets for both events were snapped up in record time there will be plenty of musical alternatives on offer during the day nearby at The Rocks.
