Police are investigating the theft of a bicycle from Dawson Mall at Mt Druitt on Saturday. About 3.40am, a Blackett man, 49, was on his way to work when he stopped at the shops. The man left his bike outside before entering a store, when a boy was seen taking and riding the bike away. Police were called and found the bike a short time later. The bike will be returned to the victim in the next few days as police continue their search for the offender. The boy is described as being of Pacific islander appearance, aged about 16, thin and was wearing black track pants and hooded jumper, both with white writing. If you can assist, phone 9675 0699.
PARK An Oxley Park man scored a ride home with police after he was found lying on the ground in Hythe St at Mt Druitt on Saturday night. About 11pm residents alerted police to the man who was intoxicated and had passed out. Police took the 36-year-old home to the care of his family.
