Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing the theft of a bi­cy­cle from Daw­son Mall at Mt Druitt on Satur­day. About 3.40am, a Black­ett man, 49, was on his way to work when he stopped at the shops. The man left his bike out­side be­fore en­ter­ing a store, when a boy was seen tak­ing and rid­ing the bike away. Po­lice were called and found the bike a short time later. The bike will be re­turned to the vic­tim in the next few days as po­lice con­tinue their search for the of­fender. The boy is de­scribed as be­ing of Pa­cific is­lan­der ap­pear­ance, aged about 16, thin and was wear­ing black track pants and hooded jumper, both with white writ­ing. PARK An Ox­ley Park man scored a ride home with po­lice af­ter he was found ly­ing on the ground in Hythe St at Mt Druitt on Satur­day night. About 11pm res­i­dents alerted po­lice to the man who was in­tox­i­cated and had passed out. Po­lice took the 36-year-old home to the care of his fam­ily.

3EMERTON

Po­lice have urged res­i­dents to be vig­i­lant with their per­sonal prop­erty af­ter a theft at Emerton. About 8.30pm on Fri­day a Dhar­ruk woman, 27, left her wal­let and mo­bile phone on the counter of a fast food restau­rant and when she re­turned she found both were miss­ing. Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing.
