Have a say on planned roadworks
MT DRUITT residents are being encouraged to have their say on proposed roadworks at Plumpton.
Roads and Maritime Services have proposed the works to improve the intersection of Rooty Hill Rd North, near Jersey Rd and Lamb St.
An RMS spokesman said the proposed improvements aimed to maintain travel times on Sydney’s major roads, particularly during weekday peak periods.
“The NSW Government is committed to improving traffic flow and the road network,” the spokesman said.
“The proposal is part of planned corridor improvements on Rooty Hill Rd between the Great Western Highway, Eastern Creek and Richmond Rd, Oakhurst.
“Work at the intersection includes removing the existing roundabout and installing traffic lights with pedestrian crossings, providing dedicated turning lanes, widening Rooty Hill Rd North near the intersection and installing CCTV cameras to monitor traffic.”
Interested residents are invited to give their opinions on the proposed intersection improvements until Friday, February 12.
Residents can comment by email to enquiries_ firstname.lastname@example.org or by mail to DownerMouchel, Rooty Hill Rd North intersection improvements, PO Box 6465, North Ryde, NSW 2113.
