LITTLE Rugby kicked into Emerton Leisure Centre last weekend, offering a ball of fun for kids as young as two.

The program has been running in Emerton for the past three years and offers rugby skills classes for children aged two to seven. Little Rugby’s owner Jodi Johann said the sport was all about developing kids’ confidence.

“Little Rugby is not just about rugby skills — it is also about teaching confi- dence, self esteem, co-ordination and mostly how to have fun.” Mrs Johann said. “This is a non-contact sport, which is heavily based around both rugby and AFL, but we also teach teamwork and sharing to the kids.”.

Term one of Little Rugby starts on Saturday, with Junior Rugby ages 2-3 at 9am and Mighty Rugby ages 3-5 at 10am. For more information call 8604 9329 or visit Little Rugby Blacktown on Facebook.
