Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a man suffered stab wounds in St Marys on Tuesday morning. Emergency services were called to a hotel on Queen St, about 8.50am, after reports a man had suffered stab wounds inside the premises. Paramedics treated the injured man, believed to be aged in his 20s, before he was taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition. Officers attached to St Marys Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene. Any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police are urged to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers.
ST CLAIR Police are reappealing for information relating to two vehicles as they continue to investigate a kidnapping in Sydney’s west last year. About 9pm on Thursday, September 3, a 32year-old man was out the front of his home on Hassett Place, St Clair, when two men forced him into a motor vehicle and drove from the scene. About 2.30am on September 4, the man was found by police on Wolstenholme Ave, Greendale. He was taken to Nepean Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Strike Force Batley was formed by officers attached to St Marys LAC to investigate the incident.
ST CLAIR A St Clair boy, 17, has been charged after he allegedly led police on a pursuit at 190km/h. About 11.40pm on Thursday night, police allegedly checked the speed of a car travelling at 97km/h in a 60k/h zone in St Clair. Police allege the young driver, who was on his provisional license, led police on a pursuit, travelling at more than 190km/h in an 80km/h zone in St Clair. Police terminated the pursuit due to safety reasons. A short time later, police attended the home of the registered owner and spoke to the driver. He was later arrested and taken to St Marys Police Station, where his license was suspended. The teen was charged with Skye’s Law (police pursuit), drive manner dangerous to the public and exceeding speed limit by more than 45km/h.
ST MARYS Police are searching for a woman in floral pyjamas after fears she may have been the victim of an assault in St Marys. Officers were called to Queen St, about 9am last Tuesday, after reports that a woman had been assaulted outside a hotel by a man armed with a firearm. When the police arrived, the man and injured woman had already left the scene, and despite a canvass of the area and an extensive search, they were unable to locate the pair. Initial inquiries have led police to believe the injured woman is a 31-year-old local, who was last seen wearing floral pyjamas and pink socks. They are appealing for both the victim and offender to come forward.
ERSKINE PARK Police are appealing for witnesses after a break and enter at Erskine Park on Monday. About 5.20am, police were called to a licensed premises on Swallow Drive, after unknown offenders forced a locked door and gained access to the building. It does not appear they gained entry to the store.
ERSKINE PARK A fluoroyellow Academy brand bike was stolen on Saturday, at Tahoe Place, Erskine Park. A child left it unattended and when he returned to it, it had been stolen. Anyone with information should phone St Marys Police on 9677 7499.
