Po­lice are ap­peal­ing for wit­nesses to come for­ward af­ter a man suf­fered stab wounds in St Marys on Tues­day morn­ing. Emer­gency ser­vices were called to a ho­tel on Queen St, about 8.50am, af­ter re­ports a man had suf­fered stab wounds in­side the premises. Paramedics treated the in­jured man, be­lieved to be aged in his 20s, be­fore he was taken to West­mead Hos­pi­tal in a sta­ble con­di­tion. Of­fi­cers at­tached to St Marys Lo­cal Area Com­mand at­tended and es­tab­lished a crime scene. Any wit­nesses who have not yet spo­ken to po­lice are urged to come for­ward and con­tact Crime Stop­pers.


ST CLAIR Po­lice are reap­peal­ing for in­for­ma­tion re­lat­ing to two ve­hi­cles as they con­tinue to in­ves­ti­gate a kid­nap­ping in Syd­ney’s west last year. About 9pm on Thurs­day, Septem­ber 3, a 32year-old man was out the front of his home on Has­sett Place, St Clair, when two men forced him into a mo­tor ve­hi­cle and drove from the scene. About 2.30am on Septem­ber 4, the man was found by po­lice on Wol­sten­holme Ave, Green­dale. He was taken to Ne­pean Hos­pi­tal for treat­ment of mi­nor in­juries. Strike Force Bat­ley was formed by of­fi­cers at­tached to St Marys LAC to in­ves­ti­gate the in­ci­dent.


ST CLAIR A St Clair boy, 17, has been charged af­ter he al­legedly led po­lice on a pur­suit at 190km/h. About 11.40pm on Thurs­day night, po­lice al­legedly checked the speed of a car trav­el­ling at 97km/h in a 60k/h zone in St Clair. Po­lice al­lege the young driver, who was on his pro­vi­sional li­cense, led po­lice on a pur­suit, trav­el­ling at more than 190km/h in an 80km/h zone in St Clair. Po­lice ter­mi­nated the pur­suit due to safety rea­sons. A short time later, po­lice at­tended the home of the reg­is­tered owner and spoke to the driver. He was later ar­rested and taken to St Marys Po­lice Sta­tion, where his li­cense was sus­pended. The teen was charged with Skye’s Law (po­lice pur­suit), drive man­ner dan­ger­ous to the pub­lic and ex­ceed­ing speed limit by more than 45km/h.


ST MARYS Po­lice are search­ing for a woman in flo­ral py­ja­mas af­ter fears she may have been the vic­tim of an as­sault in St Marys. Of­fi­cers were called to Queen St, about 9am last Tues­day, af­ter re­ports that a woman had been as­saulted out­side a ho­tel by a man armed with a firearm. When the po­lice ar­rived, the man and in­jured woman had al­ready left the scene, and de­spite a can­vass of the area and an ex­ten­sive search, they were un­able to lo­cate the pair. Ini­tial in­quiries have led po­lice to be­lieve the in­jured woman is a 31-year-old lo­cal, who was last seen wear­ing flo­ral py­ja­mas and pink socks. They are ap­peal­ing for both the vic­tim and of­fender to come for­ward.


ERSK­INE PARK Po­lice are ap­peal­ing for wit­nesses af­ter a break and en­ter at Ersk­ine Park on Mon­day. About 5.20am, po­lice were called to a li­censed premises on Swal­low Drive, af­ter un­known of­fend­ers forced a locked door and gained ac­cess to the build­ing. It does not ap­pear they gained en­try to the store.


ERSK­INE PARK A flu­o­royel­low Academy brand bike was stolen on Satur­day, at Ta­hoe Place, Ersk­ine Park. A child left it unat­tended and when he re­turned to it, it had been stolen. Any­one with in­for­ma­tion should phone St Marys Po­lice on 9677 7499.
