Book Bonus to help boost school resources
STUDENTS participating in the NSW Premier’s Reading Challenge can secure quality new books for their school and help other schools in need by joining the Book Bonus.
The online readathon is directly linked to the challenge, and provides students with a safe and secure opportunity to seek sponsorship from family and friends for the books they read.
Book Bonus is a fundraising partnership between schools and Dymocks Children’s Charities.
All money raised will go toward providing books for the participating student’s school and schools in need throughout NSW.
Dymocks Children’s Charities is a non-profit organisation providing highquality books to education providers in priority areas, to improve literacy outcomes for students.
At the end of the Premier’s Reading Challenge, schools and award-winning students select their books.
Almost 30 students statewide have signed up so far, with almost $2000 raised since the challenge started on March 7.
The challenge will run until August 26, and students can join the Book Bonus in teams or as individuals.
