Rangers cel­e­brate $100k fund­ing

MT DRUITT Town Rangers Foot­ball Club has had its wishes granted af­ter Mt Druitt state La­bor MP Ed­mond Atalla and Black­town Coun­cil joined forces to help secure a $113,000 grant for the club.

Rangers pres­i­dent Mark Robert­son said the grant would go to­wards im­prov­ing the club’s fa­cil­i­ties.

“These up­grades con­tinue to build on the past three years where sig­nif­i­cant im­prove­ments have taken place to en­sure Mt Druitt and Po­pon­detta Park is one of the state’s gold-stan­dard foot­ball fa­cil­i­ties,” he said.

“We would like to thank our state mem­ber for Mt Druitt, Ed­mond Atalla, and Black­town City coun­cil­lors Char­lie Lowles and Tony Bleas­dale for this and their on­go­ing sup­port of our club.”

Mr Atalla said the club’s ef­forts were a credit to the area.

“The Rangers have pro­duced na­tional and in­ter­na­tional play­ers, prov­ing that sup­port­ing lo­cal sport is the key to na­tional suc­cess,” he said.
