Rangers celebrate $100k funding
MT DRUITT Town Rangers Football Club has had its wishes granted after Mt Druitt state Labor MP Edmond Atalla and Blacktown Council joined forces to help secure a $113,000 grant for the club.
Rangers president Mark Robertson said the grant would go towards improving the club’s facilities.
“These upgrades continue to build on the past three years where significant improvements have taken place to ensure Mt Druitt and Popondetta Park is one of the state’s gold-standard football facilities,” he said.
“We would like to thank our state member for Mt Druitt, Edmond Atalla, and Blacktown City councillors Charlie Lowles and Tony Bleasdale for this and their ongoing support of our club.”
Mr Atalla said the club’s efforts were a credit to the area.
“The Rangers have produced national and international players, proving that supporting local sport is the key to national success,” he said.
