HAVE YOUR SAY ON WASTE PLANT
THE State Government is seeking feedback on a proposed liquid waste treatment facility to open in Glendenning.
The proposal by J.J Richards & Sons seeks to built a treatment facility that would receive up to 52,000 tonnes of liquid waste per year.
This includes the storage and treatment of up to 24,000 tonnes of liquid grease trap waste for re-use.
The facility would also store liquid food waste and oil to be combined and re-used.
The proposed facility is set to be built at 14 Rayben St, in a pre-existing industrial area. The Department of Planning and Environment is now inviting locals to give their opinion on the development.
“Community consultation is an integral part of the planning process and the applicant will have to respond to the feedback we receive,” a spokesman said.
