HAPPY GIVING BACK TO SALVOS
VOLUNTEERS are the lifeblood of the Mt Druitt Salvation Army store and donation tables. Margaret Harris (three years of volunteering), Phil Saunders (five years) and Ramone Ibardolaza (five years) all keep the store afloat. Ms Harris, 67, said she chose to volunteer after the Salvos helped her when she was struggling to look after three children by herself.
“The Salvos do a great job of giving clothes and other things to people. They’ve helped a lot of people I know,” she said, while urging locals to donate.
