LUCKY LOTTO WIN
PLUMPTON Marketplace Newsagency owner Raafat Sabri is happy to take the credit for being a life-changer.
Mr Sabri sold the winning first division ticket in Saturday’s Lotto draw, making one Western Sydney retired couple $579,000 richer.
The pensioners, who wish to remain anonymous, describe themselves as battlers.
The wife said it was a “lovely problem” to have so much money and not know what to do with it. The husband sealed the victory with a kiss from his “rich wife” and pledged to do some much-needed home repairs and share some of the proceeds with family.
Mr Sabri was overjoyed he had played a role in improving the lot of some very grateful locals. “It’s so wonderful,” he said. “We’ve had a number of big wins over the years and now have quite a lot of plaques on the wall.
“But we have a big wall so there’s room for many more.
“We’d like to congratulate our division one winning customers.”
