A TEAM leader needs to have a range of skills, from problem solving to a clear communication style.

Some of those skills can be picked up on the job, but sometimes additional training is needed.

The Bachelor of Applied Management, delivered by TAFE in partnership with Federation University Australia, can help boost a person’s skills.

Covering a range of topics, the course gives students practical skills to deal with workplace issues.

It also introduces marketing techniques, accounting and project management.

No prior TAFE or university experience is necessary to enrol, but the course recognises prior learning and can tailor a shortened study schedule.

On completion, students can apply for postgraduate programs through TAFE. applied-management/
