Young track and field enthusiasts can sign up at Little Athletics clubs
WESTERN Sydney Little Athletics clubs are taking registrations now for the 2016/17 season.
The season is set to start on the morning of Saturday, September 17 and will run until March 2017.
Online registrations for Colyton St Clair Little Athletics Centre’s 33rd season are now open.
Club coaching co-ordinator Robyn Koen said there was a variety of sports available for children of all ages.
“It’s a good way to get the kids outside and keep them active,” Mrs Koen said.
“The older kids get to throw javelins, and there is discus for kids aged three and up.
“We do shot put, running, triple jump, long jump and high jump.”
Boys and girls aged four to 17 also are welcome to sign up in person at Saunders Oval, St Clair, on Saturday, September 3 and Saturday, September 10 from 10am-1pm.
The club’s membership has been more than 240, and this year should be no different on the back of the inspirational performances at the Rio Games.
Inquiries can be made by emailing email@example.com.
Registrations can be done online at colytonstclair lac.com.au.
Aspiring Mt Druitt athletes can register for the Mt Druitt Little Athletics Centre on Saturday from noon to 3pm at Plumpton Marketplace, where uniforms will also be for sale.
Those who have already signed up online will need to attend the registration day in order to be assigned a number and collect their registration pack and uniform.
