A 25-year-old man was robbed at knifepoint on Saturday morning. About 9.30am, the man was returning to his vehicle parked in East Lane, St Marys, when he was approached by two men armed with knives. Police were told the pair threatened the man and demanded cash. St Marys police would like to speak to two men, both described as being of Pacific Islander or Maori appearance and wearing dark clothing, one with a Nike-branded top. 2 ST CLAIR
An anonymous tip-off to Crime Stoppers has led to the recovery of a car stolen at knifepoint from St Clair. A 40year-old woman had her maroon Camry stolen by a man armed with a knife when she returned to her home in Morningbird Close about 8.40pm on Thursday. Following a public appeal, someone called Crime Stoppers about 6.30pm on Friday. The car was recovered in Pyramid St, Emu Plains. It has been seized by police for forensic examination. Police have asked anyone with more information to call St Marys police or Crime Stoppers.
3 MT DRUITT
A man, 35, was arrested on Friday for driving while being disqualified. About 11.15pm, the man was stopped by police in Luxford Rd, Mt Druitt, for a random breath test. When asked to produce a driver’s licence the Hebersham man told police that he was disqualified from driving. Checks conducted at the scene revealed he is disqualified until 2024. He is set to face Mt Druitt Local Court at a later date.
A 25-year-old Willmot woman was charged on Friday for driving while disqualified. At 3.25pm, the woman was stopped for a random breath test in Captain Cook Drive, Willmot. Officers found her licence was disqualified until November 4. The woman is set to face Mt Druitt Local Court at a later date.
5 ST MARYS
A woman has been charged with mid-range drink-driving and driving with a suspended licence. About 11.05pm on Friday, police were conducting breath tests in St Marys when they stopped the 34-year-old woman from Orange. A roadside breath test returned a positive reading. She was taken to the Penrith police station, where she underwent a breath analysis, which returned an alleged positive reading of 0.106. Further checks were made on the woman’s driver’s licence, which revealed she was a suspended driver. The woman is set to appear at Penrith Local Court on September 19.
6 EASTERN CREEK
An excavator was stolen from a work site in Eastern Creek. Some time early on Tuesday morning one or more people took the excavator from the work site in Wallgrove Rd. Police are investigating the incident. Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
7 MT DRUITT
A 32-year-old woman was arrested after allegedly stealing from a clothing store at Mt Druitt on Monday. About 5.15pm, the woman entered a department store at Westfield and removed a number of pieces of clothing from various displays. The Kingswood woman allegedly put these items in a bag and left the store without paying for them. Security staff detained the woman until police arrived. The woman is set to face Mt Druitt Local Court at a later date.
8 MT DRUITT
A Mt Druitt man was assaulted and robbed on Friday. About 4.40am the 37-year-old was walking to work along North Pde when he was struck on the back of the head and fell to the ground. The man dropped a number of items, including a mobile phone, which was then picked up by an unknown male who was last seen running from the location. Police are urging anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
