A 25-year-old man was robbed at knife­point on Satur­day morn­ing. About 9.30am, the man was re­turn­ing to his ve­hi­cle parked in East Lane, St Marys, when he was ap­proached by two men armed with knives. Police were told the pair threat­ened the man and de­manded cash. St Marys police would like to speak to two men, both de­scribed as be­ing of Pa­cific Is­lan­der or Maori ap­pear­ance and wear­ing dark cloth­ing, one with a Nike-branded top. An anony­mous tip-off to Crime Stop­pers has led to the re­cov­ery of a car stolen at knife­point from St Clair. A 40year-old woman had her ma­roon Camry stolen by a man armed with a knife when she re­turned to her home in Morn­ing­bird Close about 8.40pm on Thurs­day. Fol­low­ing a pub­lic ap­peal, some­one called Crime Stop­pers about 6.30pm on Fri­day. The car was re­cov­ered in Pyra­mid St, Emu Plains. It has been seized by police for foren­sic ex­am­i­na­tion. Police have asked any­one with more in­for­ma­tion to call St Marys police or Crime Stop­pers.


A man, 35, was ar­rested on Fri­day for driv­ing while be­ing dis­qual­i­fied. About 11.15pm, the man was stopped by police in Lux­ford Rd, Mt Druitt, for a ran­dom breath test. When asked to pro­duce a driver’s li­cence the He­ber­sham man told police that he was dis­qual­i­fied from driv­ing. Checks con­ducted at the scene re­vealed he is dis­qual­i­fied un­til 2024. He is set to face Mt Druitt Lo­cal Court at a later date.


A 25-year-old Will­mot woman was charged on Fri­day for driv­ing while dis­qual­i­fied. At 3.25pm, the woman was stopped for a ran­dom breath test in Cap­tain Cook Drive, Will­mot. Of­fi­cers found her li­cence was dis­qual­i­fied un­til Novem­ber 4. The woman is set to face Mt Druitt Lo­cal Court at a later date.


A woman has been charged with mid-range drink-driv­ing and driv­ing with a sus­pended li­cence. About 11.05pm on Fri­day, police were con­duct­ing breath tests in St Marys when they stopped the 34-year-old woman from Orange. A road­side breath test re­turned a pos­i­tive read­ing. She was taken to the Pen­rith police sta­tion, where she un­der­went a breath analysis, which re­turned an al­leged pos­i­tive read­ing of 0.106. Fur­ther checks were made on the woman’s driver’s li­cence, which re­vealed she was a sus­pended driver. The woman is set to ap­pear at Pen­rith Lo­cal Court on Septem­ber 19.


An ex­ca­va­tor was stolen from a work site in East­ern Creek. Some time early on Tues­day morn­ing one or more peo­ple took the ex­ca­va­tor from the work site in Wall­grove Rd. Police are in­ves­ti­gat­ing the in­ci­dent. Any­one with in­for­ma­tion is urged to call Crime Stop­pers on 1800 333 000.


A 32-year-old woman was ar­rested af­ter al­legedly steal­ing from a cloth­ing store at Mt Druitt on Mon­day. About 5.15pm, the woman en­tered a depart­ment store at West­field and re­moved a num­ber of pieces of cloth­ing from var­i­ous dis­plays. The Kingswood woman al­legedly put these items in a bag and left the store with­out pay­ing for them. Se­cu­rity staff de­tained the woman un­til police ar­rived. The woman is set to face Mt Druitt Lo­cal Court at a later date.


A Mt Druitt man was as­saulted and robbed on Fri­day. About 4.40am the 37-year-old was walk­ing to work along North Pde when he was struck on the back of the head and fell to the ground. The man dropped a num­ber of items, in­clud­ing a mo­bile phone, which was then picked up by an un­known male who was last seen run­ning from the lo­ca­tion. Police are urg­ing any­one with in­for­ma­tion to call Crime Stop­pers on 1800 333 000.
