INQUIRY INTO BLAZE AT HOUSE
POLICE are investigating a fire that caused significant damage to a vacant house at Oakhurst in the early hours of Monday morning.
About 1.45am, emergency services were called to Dutch Place, where they found the house well alight.
Officers from Fire & Rescue NSW worked quickly to extinguish the blaze.
They managed to contain it to the main site.
There was only minor damage to neighbouring properties.
Mt Druitt police have been told the property had been vacant for some months.
A crime scene was established, and police have started an investigation into the incident.
The fire is being treated as suspicious until the cause can be determined.
