COOL­ING OUR STREETS

Ur­ban heat is a grow­ing prob­lem in west­ern Syd­ney, and Black­town Coun­cil is host­ing a fo­rum to dis­cuss the is­sue of our hot streetscapes. An ex­pert panel will in­ves­ti­gate the prob­lem from a health, en­vi­ron­ment and food per­spec­tive. The event is part of the Sus­tain­able Sep­tem­ber Eco Fes­ti­val. RED CROSS EX­HI­BI­TION

An ex­hi­bi­tion in Black­town cap­tures the amaz­ing his­tory of the Red Cross. The Right to Know: 100 Years of the Aus­tralian Red Cross Trac­ing Ser­vice high­lights the work of the Red Cross to re­unite, or know the fate of, loved ones. The ex­hi­bi­tion shares some of those sto­ries.
