A man and woman will face court after allegedly shoplifting from two shopping centres in St Marys. About 8.30am on Sunday, a 24-year-old Nowra man and a 24-year-old Hebersham woman attended a shopping centre in St Marys. It is alleged the pair stole items, placed them in a backpack and left the store. They then visited another St Marys shopping centre and allegedly stole items from a supermarket. The woman allegedly concealed some items in her bra and left the store. Both parties then entered a department store where they allegedly stole more items, placed them in their bags and left the store. A short time later the pair was apprehended outside the supermarket. They were arrested and charged. The female was charged with larceny, assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest. The man was charged with larceny. Both the male and female will appear in Penrith Local Court on October 10.
