PARK FUN SET TO DELIGHT KIDS
SYDNEY Olympic Park’s school holiday program, Kids in the Park, is running its 50 session this spring, and will celebrate the milestone with more than 60 exciting events spread across the park to suit families and children. Kids in the Park has operated during every NSW school holidays since mid-2004, and offers the biggest range of holiday activities in a single location. Many of the events are free including Games at the Armory, where kids can experience activities played during the first half of the 1900s, Operation Art, featuring 800 artworks, and Walk and Squawk, where nature lovers meet the park’s feathered residents. This season, Acro Yoga – Path of the Dancing Warrior will see kids aged 5-14 face paint, bang drums and meditate. Teens can enjoy the Sports Camps Australia BodyMindSol Teen Yoga – Path of the Dancing Warrior, which allows them to connect through voice, music, art and yoga. For more adventurous kids, Monster Activities offers loads of fun on skateboards, BMX bikes and scooters. More than 50 sports are played at Sydney Olympic Park, making it the perfect playground for kids to get active. Gym Sports, Cricket – Thunder Kids: T20, a Holiday Water Polo Clinic and Basketball – MyHoops are just a few of the highlights for sporty kids. Writing Workshops, Flying Trapeze, Mega Circus Mix and Segway Rides are also favourites.
