SYDNEY Olympic Park’s school hol­i­day pro­gram, Kids in the Park, is run­ning its 50 ses­sion this spring, and will cel­e­brate the mile­stone with more than 60 ex­cit­ing events spread across the park to suit fam­i­lies and chil­dren. Kids in the Park has op­er­ated dur­ing every NSW school hol­i­days since mid-2004, and of­fers the big­gest range of hol­i­day ac­tiv­i­ties in a sin­gle location. Many of the events are free in­clud­ing Games at the Ar­mory, where kids can ex­pe­ri­ence ac­tiv­i­ties played dur­ing the first half of the 1900s, Op­er­a­tion Art, fea­tur­ing 800 art­works, and Walk and Squawk, where na­ture lovers meet the park’s feath­ered residents. This season, Acro Yoga – Path of the Danc­ing War­rior will see kids aged 5-14 face paint, bang drums and med­i­tate. Teens can en­joy the Sports Camps Australia BodyMindSol Teen Yoga – Path of the Danc­ing War­rior, which al­lows them to con­nect through voice, mu­sic, art and yoga. For more ad­ven­tur­ous kids, Mon­ster Ac­tiv­i­ties of­fers loads of fun on skate­boards, BMX bikes and scoot­ers. More than 50 sports are played at Sydney Olympic Park, mak­ing it the per­fect play­ground for kids to get ac­tive. Gym Sports, Cricket – Thun­der Kids: T20, a Hol­i­day Wa­ter Polo Clinic and Bas­ket­ball – MyHoops are just a few of the high­lights for sporty kids. Writ­ing Work­shops, Fly­ing Trapeze, Mega Cir­cus Mix and Seg­way Rides are also favourites.
