YOUNG readers and staff at St Clair Library received a rev-up from the Biblio Turismo librarians recently.

Biblio Turismo started in 2006 as a means for librarians who rode motorbikes to meet each other and spread joy once a year. The bottom line is the promotion of literature and fostering of reading.

Biker Alan Flores recounted his visit to St Clair Library in a Biblio Turismo blog.

“St Clair is a library I helped design but never got to see it open as I resigned before it was completed,” he wrote. “A nice small library that fills an important role in its community and filled with children attending storytime while we were there.

“The library supervisor, Chen, found a way to get my bike in and a journo and photographer made the best of it. A young girl offered to be in a picture or two. She had the cutest smile and was happy to pose for the cameraman.”
