Tune into an opera
SILENCE will be golden at an upcoming performance by Opera Australia.
In a world-first, the silent concert titled Sydney Opera House – The Opera: The Eighth Wonder will be performed outside the Australian landmark.
The 3000-person audience will plug in with state-of-theart Audio Technica headphones to hear the orchestra playing live inside the Opera House, while the singers per- form in front of the crowd.
The opera is inspired by the story behind the iconic building. Danish tenor Adam Frandsen will play architect Jorn Utzon and Gerry Connolly will play the Queen.
The NSW Premier will be played by Martin Buckingham and Stacey Alleaume will appear as a young singer in the show.
