Mt Druitt - St Mary's Standard (East) - - NEWS - Enter at snapsydney.com.au before Thursday, October 13. Terms and conditions are available at snapsydney.com.au.

#SNAPSYDNEY is so much more than one day. Leading up to Wednesday, November 16 this year, you will have the chance to fine tune your photographic skills with tips, tricks and plenty of inspiration. Over the coming weeks, we will invite you to shoot and share your best pictures in three key categories. 1. How our city wakes up. What do you see when you open your eyes? Where is the best place on your block for breakfast? The best view on a run? Who makes your suburb’s best coffee? 2. Send in your shots of local larrikins and characters. 3. Post pictures of your passions by showing us what you love.

Share your best images on Twitter or Instagram each week, or post to your local paper’s Facebook page (making sure your profile is public so we can see the pictures!) using the hashtag #SnapSydney or #SnapCoast.

Our city is beautiful and intriguing from the moment she comes to life every morning. And we want to help you capture it in a great picture.

As part of the Snap Sydney excitement, NewsLocal and Canon are offering readers the chance to win 25 spaces at a special workshop called How Our City Wakes Up, to be held at Sydney’s Museum of Contemporary Art on October 19.

Hosted by Collective ambassadors Jen, Scott and Emma, this exclusive workshop will help you capture the perfect morning shot over Circular Quay at sunrise using a Canon EOS camera which will be provided on the day.

NewsLocal will publish the best images from the day in its newspapers.

So get ready to start snapping away.
