SYDNEY’S spring carnival continues with the feature City Tattersall’s Club meeting at Royal Randwick on Saturday. The Australian Turf Club is expecting another crowd of around 20,000 after similar attendances for Epsom Day and Spring Champion Stakes.

SATURDAY’S Randwick meeting boasts three races worth $150,000 prizemoney including the Listed Brian Crowley Stakes (1200m) for three-year-olds which will feature boom Newcastle colt Guard Of Honour.

The Kris Lees-trained horse has only had three starts, winning his last two including the Listed Heritage Stakes at Randwick last month. Jockey Hugh Bowman made a trip to Wyong last week to put Guard Of Honour through his paces in an impressive barrier trial.

The other features races on Saturday are the Group 3 $150,000 The Nivison (1200m) for mares, The Lightning (1100m) and the City Tattersalls Club Cup (2400m).
