THE ‘80s were a time of musical innovation, groundbreaking genres and larger-than-life performers brimming with talent and personality.

One of the chart toppers of the day was blonde English popette Kim Wilde, who burst on to the music scene in 1981 with the catchy Kids in America.

Wilde had three No.1 hits and six more top 40 chart stoppers.

Another ’80s favourite was Howard Jones, wellknown for his distinct blond, spiky hair, but a singer of immense talent.

Jones enjoyed success with 10 top 40 hits in the UK between 1983 and 1986.

Wilde and Jones now have joined forces for an Australian tour.

The pair will be at the Rooty Hill RSL on Saturday, November 5, to present a double dose of ’80s hits.

For those who grew up during the 1980s, it’s a show not to be missed, and it’s a look back in time for those who’ve always wondered what they missed out on.
