GAMING is a popular hobby, and as the industry continues to grow, so too does the demand for employees.

A Diploma of Digital and Interactive Games from TAFE can help give you the skills to get a foot in the door.

Teacher Sein Wai Chew says gaming is an exciting, growing and multi-billion dollar industry with great career prospects.

This course helps students develop a range of skills including video game design, storyboarding, artificial intelligence in gaming, character design, scripting and programming.

Students learn how to develop digital games briefs independently and as part of a team which will hold them in good steed for the industry.

They can get the opportunity to work in new and emerging areas such as game development for mobile devices, online and TV. Future jobs could also include programming and web design. tafecourses.com.au or tafensw.edu.au
