MULTICULTURALISM and tolerance begin in our own backyard, and the Holy Family Parish at Emerton is a living example of this.

The parish is holding a multicultural expo on Saturday to showcase its religious ministries that work for the good of the wider community.

The event, in the church grounds at 254 Luxford Rd, will feature cultural music and entertainment, ethnic foods, information stalls, face-painting, games and rides and auctions and raffles.

Holy Family Parish Pastoral Council chairman John Svoboda said the expo aimed to promote diversity and multiculturalism.

The expo runs from 9am-4pm and entry is free.
