THE Sweeneys have more than 100 onions in one of their 14 back­yard veg­etable patches. They also grow cu­cum­ber, cel­ery, tomato, broc­coli, let­tuce, car­rot, cab­bage, sil­ver­beet, basil, rose­mary, thyme, lemon­grass, ginger, turmeric, ap­ples, figs, or­anges and mul­ber­ries. Their chooks lay eggs daily.
