Mt Druitt - St Mary's Standard (East) - - NEWS -

THE residents of Popondetta Rd at Blackett have appealed for the driver who smashed through four of their fences to come forward.

About 12.45am on Sunday, November 6, Margaret and Ron Logue and their neighbours heard a car ploughing through their fences.

“It sounded like it was coming through our front window,” Mr Logue said. “They went through our neighbour’s yard next and then knocked down two panels of our fence.”

Mrs Logue said the driver did park on the other side of the road but the neighbours were too nervous to approach him. A man who claimed to be the driver’s father promised to have everyone’s fences fixed, but no one has been able to get in touch with him since.

“We’ve got the most damage,” Mrs Logue said. “It’s going to cost us $1000 to get the fence fixed. We’d like to find out who this person was and make them pay for what they’ve done.”

Anyone with information is urged to call Mt Druitt police on 9675 0699.
