Battling against ice

Mt Druitt - St Mary's Standard (East) - - YOUR SAY -

EVERY time I go out wearing my ‘Don’t ICE your children. LOVE THEM’ T-shirt people stop me and talk. Many people, sometimes. A lot, probably three-quarters of them, say that they know people on ‘ice”, or they used to take ice, or they know so many families where children have ice-addicted parents.

I think it has been four women who ended up in jail because of ice.

They had to stop taking ice because of jail time and are so grateful they got caught so they could stop taking the drug.

So many sad stories are making me unhappy.

My ice petition is going slow. On it, three people have commented on how ice has affected them — two seriously, with their own families all but destroyed. Children going through hell.

Please would you consider doing a story on my efforts to stop parents taking ice and hurting their partner and their most beautiful priceless children.

I plan to not stop this campaign, I pray never. Dave Vincent, Bidwill
