FALLS Creek is gear­ing up for an­other ex­cit­ing snow sea­son with the Queen’s Birth­day week­end kick­ing off the ac­tion.

Vis­i­tors will be treated to a sausage siz­zle, live en­ter­tain­ment, an art dis­play by lo­cal Char­lie Brown, re­gional wine, beer and cheese sampling and fire pits to toast marsh mel­lows and a free fire­works dis­play in the Vil­lage Bowl will light the sky on Satur­day evening for all vis­i­tors.

Dur­ing the off sea­son, Falls Creek Re­sort Man­age­ment has been busy in­vest­ing in in­fra­struc­ture to en­hance the vis­i­tor ex­pe­ri­ence.

In­stal­la­tion is un­der­way for the first phase of a new vis­i­tor sig­nage project.

The in­no­va­tive sig­nage is state of the art with in­ter­change­able pan­els that cater for the dual sea­sons.

Po­si­tioned well above the snow line in win­ter and eas­ily trans­formed in the green sea­son, it will be eas­ier than ever for vis­i­tors to nav­i­gate around the Re­sort and find out use­ful in­for­ma­tion.

Falls Creek is the only place in Australia where you can drive your own snow­mo­bile, ride a snow bike on a ski trail and see a sled dog event un­der vil­lage lights at night and it’s also the only true ski-in, ski-out vil­lage in the coun­try.

The Snow­play Park will of­fer more fun than ever es­pe­cially with its kid’s snow­mo­biles and the snow­shoe trails will open a num­ber more routes thanks to the new moun­tain bike trail net­work at the re­sort.

This sea­son will see the con­tin­u­a­tion of the weekly Street Party, ev­ery Tues­day night through­out July and Au­gust, and other weekly events in­clude night ski­ing ev­ery Wed­nes­day and Satur­day as well as the Pete the Snow Dragon Show.

The spec­tac­u­lar night show lights up the sky ev­ery Thurs­day dur­ing July and Au­gust.

Falls Creek also plays hosts to main events in­clud­ing the unique Sled Dog clas­sic on Satur­day, Au­gust 2, Storm the Cas­tle on Satur­day, Au­gust15, the 25th an­niver­sary of the Kan­ga­roo Hop­pet on Satur­day, Au­gust 22 and a One­sie week­end on Septem­ber 13 and 14.
