After authentic Italian food, then look no further than Lupo’s Kiln Café on the outskirts of Myrtleford. As the name suggests the café is an old tobacco kiln. Tobacco was a major industry in the Ovens Valley before its closure in 2006. Also, most of the materials used inside the café come from tobacco kilns or are agriculture related. It’s something you’re unlikely to find anywhere else, so that alone is a reason to stop. On the food front if you’re here for lunch then you’ve come at the right time. Choose from fresh pasta and gnocchi with traditional Italian sauces, as well as lasagne. There is also cakes and slices, gelato and great coffee. You’ll enjoy the views of the surrounding hills and mountains while the kids will love the playground. If you’re on the run you can take away from the deli with pasta, ravioli, gnocchi and lasagne and sauces all available.
