Alpine council confirms RV dump points here

Myrtleford Times - - Opinions/People -

ALPINE Shire Council has confirmed that dump points for caravan grey water and sanitary waste are available in the council-owned caravan parks in Myrtleford and Bright. Caulfield South’s Joel Antoine wrote to the

Times Observer two weeks ago to voice concern that a dump point for caravan sewage in the shire was not readily identifiable during a recent visit.

Mrs Antoine said Alpine businesses enjoyed the benefit of caravaners’ spending and she believed the council should provide public dump points.

The council-owned caravan parks are privately-managed and allow sanitary waste disposal at no charge for registered guests.

Non-guest travellers can dispose of waste at these parks for a fee.

A list of Australian dump point locations can be found at www.sanidump.com.
