Young­sters who usu­ally fill the play­ground at St Mary’s Myrtle­ford Pri­mary School dis­ap­peared on Fri­day – re­placed for ‘Book Week’ by all man­ner of char­ac­ters from the chil­dren’s favourite sto­ry­books. Nine-year-old Lu­cas Masin be­came Dog Man, the crime-bit­ing part-dog, part-man crea­ture from the se­ries of the same name, while eight-year-old Con­nor Sacco caped him­self as Drac­ula. Tai Miller (back left) took on the guise of Mel­bourne Aus­tralian foot­ball star Jesse Ho­gan, Adam Mor­gan be­came LA Lak­ers’ bas­ket­ball won­der Kobe Bryant, Mag­gie McGhee was the fairies’ Queen Ti­ta­nia from ‘A Mid­sum­mer Night’s Dream’ and Mad­di­son Pasqualotto crowned her­self the Evil Queen from ‘Snow White’, com­plete with ap­ple.
