RBT read­ing reaches alpine heights

BRIGHT po­lice ear­lier this month in­ter­cepted a drink driver with one of the high­est al­co­hol read­ings ever seen by of­fi­cers in the Up­per Ovens Val­ley.

The 34-year-old Mel­bourne man re­turned a blood al­co­hol read­ing of 0.364 when he was found be­hind the wheel of his car on Great Alpine Road on Septem­ber 17 at about 4.20pm.

The man had driven about 500 me­tres along the road, fol­low­ing an ar­gu­ment with his part­ner, be­fore po­lice pulled him over.

He was found to have a disqual­i­fied li­cence and will front court on sum­mons.
