Satur­day’s Myrtle­ford Mar­ket will pro­mote nuts, seeds and oils

MYRTLE­FORD Farm­ers’ Mar­ket on Satur­day will fo­cus on nuts, seeds and oils avail­able from par­tic­i­pat­ing pro­duc­ers.

Mar­ket co-or­di­na­tor Franca Nor­ris said com­bi­na­tions of these prod­ucts were avail­able from many stall­hold­ers in the mar­ket, which is ac­cred­ited by the Vic­to­rian Farm­ers’ Mar­kets As­so­ci­a­tion.

“There are oils from Styr­ian pump­kins seeds, hazel­nuts, wal­nuts and olives, and wal­nuts, chest­nuts, pump­kin seeds and ch­est­nut meal,” she said. “The list goes on.” Satur­day’s (Oc­to­ber 28) mar­ket will in­clude a demon­stra­tion by Pa­trizia Si­mone of ways to use these foods in com­bi­na­tion or with other dishes.

The mar­ket is held in Myrtle­ford pi­azza.
