Rosewhite open garden benefits Lacluta Friends
ROSEWHITE’S Noela Dawes and Micheal Freudenstein have this year chosen Myrtleford’s Friends of Lacluta organisation as the beneficiary of proceeds from the couple’s three-weekend spring open garden season.
The Friends support communities in the remote Timor Leste district of Lacluta, south east of the island nation’s capital, Dili, and particularly aid education and food sustainability projects.
The Dawes-Freudenstein garden at The Homestead Estate, at 713 Happy Valley Road, will again be open this weekend (October 28-29) and November 4-5 from 10m to 4pm.
The couple is also hosting tours of the historic farmhouse at 11am, 1pm and 3pm on each open day. It was built in 1869 and was the first homestead in Happy Valley at Rosewhite.
