Mount Beauty Sec­ondary Col­lege stu­dents Bo Han­ley, Jonah Cos­griff, Jack­son McDer­mott, Dy­lan Ry­der, Hugh Ran­ton, Jack Rawl­ing, Michael Lemin, Tommi Sylvester, An­der­son Rookes, Ryan Bower, Nick Low, Flynn Eriks­son (be­hind), Billy Han­ley, Molly Wil­ley, Ge­or­gia Moor­man, Alina Smith and Bron­wyn Jaw­erth have re­ceived cer­tifi­cates for com­plet­ing the ‘Fu­ture­mak­ers’ pro­gram through Bo­gong Out­door School.The pro­gram chal­lenges stu­dents to be­come ini­tia­tors, lead­ers and man­agers of change in a world where they have the abil­ity to in­flu­ence their own fu­tures. The course is de­liv­ered within the year nine cur­ricu­lum, dur­ing nor­mal timetabled classes, and then in­volves a two-week res­i­den­tial com­po­nent where stu­dents at­tend Bo­gong cam­pus and un­der­take a five-day, stu­dent-led ex­pe­di­tion in Alpine Na­tional Park.
