Myrtleford to host charity golf day
MYRTLEFORD Golf Club will hold their annual charity golf day next Sunday with about 100 people expected to hit the course.
This year’s event will support White Ribbon Australia with all money raised on the day to be donated to help women and families affected by domestic violence.
Drummond Golf Albury’s, Belinda Tucker, who is one of the main organisers of the event, said White Ribbon was nominated as this year’s charity given the events of the past 12 months.
“One in three women in Australia have been exposed to domestic violence and one in four children, which is very scary,” she said.
The event is an individual Stableford – GA handicap and the entry fee includes green fees, lunch and post-event sandwiches.
Drinks carts will also be out on course throughout the day.
“We are definitely looking forward to getting to Myrtleford, I hear the course is in fantastic WHITE RIBBON CAUSE: Craig Piazza and David Matthews hope locals will turn out for the upcoming charity golf day at Myrtleford. PHOTO: Tate Spiteri condition,” Ms Tucker said.
The Charity Golf Day will be packed with on-course activities, prizes, fun and many surprises.
The major prize winners from both the men’s and women’s competitions will each earn a place in the Victorian State Qualifying event including travel and one night’s accommodation.
