Follett, Thomason named Bright’s best for 2018
RUNE Follett and Tyler Thomason have taken out top honours in the Bright Junior Football Club’s best and fairest count held two weeks ago.
Follett took his game to another level in his second year of under 14s football and was consistently among Bright’s best players helping his side to five wins in 2018 after a winless season the year before.
Thomason starred in his first season of football being named in the best players for Bright’s under 12s in all but three matches while also leading the teams goal kicking with 12 majors playing predominately midfield.
The under 12s won three games this past season.
Other under 14 award winners were Saxon Rosser (R/U B&F), Copper Thomason (most consistent), Jake Hood (most courageous), Jack Banks (best defender), Harry Hewitt (best first year player), Mikka Paulsen (most improved), Will Redden (best clubman) and Luke Nannipieri (coaches award).
Under 12s player receiving awards were Jackson Hewitt (R/U B&F), Yannick Paulsen (most consistent), Tom Gray (most courageous), Bryce Fullerton (best defender), Stefan Barnard (best first year player), Lachie Rosser (most improved), Ryan Alexander (best clubman & coaches award).
