Schools show win­ning ways

Last Fri­day the Up­per Great Southern Hockey As­so­ci­a­tion held its an­nual NAB lower school hockey cup which was at­tended by nine teams from Nar­ro­gin, Brook­ton, Narem­been and Jer­ra­mungup.

The for­mat was a com­plete round robin for both the girls’ and boys’ com­pe­ti­tion.

The girls’ grand fi­nal was be­tween Narem­been and Nar­ro­gin Se­nior High School 2, with Narem­been win­ning 4-0.

In the boys’ com­pe­ti­tion it came down to the last round of fix­tures to de­cide the win­ner, with Nar­ro­gin Se­nior High School 2 win­ning over­all.

It was a great day of hockey with sev­eral play­ers play­ing their first com­pet­i­tive game of hockey.
