Num­bers down as wet weather con­tin­ues

The wet-weather golf con­tin­ued at the week­end and that, com­bined with the Cuballing Open, meant num­bers and scores were down at Nar­ro­gin.

Bill Ry­bar­czyk took the hon­ours on Satur­day with 34 points from Les Chitty on 31 and Eric Hall on 30. The com­pe­ti­tion was a lit­tle closer in Sun­day’s Cap­tain and Vice-Cap­tain Monthly Mugs, with Rus­sell Cowcher’s 84/12/72 pre­vail­ing in a count­back from Gra­ham Doust also with 72 to claim the A-grade mug.

Peter Bor­gas se­cured the B-grade mug with a 79 nett, also in a count­back from Frank Goater on 79.

Terry Wilkins had the best gross with 89, while Steve Wil­liams went from choco­lates to boiled lol­lies tak­ing out the NAGA.

We have the Bird Cameron Stable­ford event on Satur­day fol­lowed by the Joe Sus­sex Me­mo­rial Four­somes Cham­pi­onships on Sun­day with Ryan O’Dea, Lind­say Scott and Robert Ry­bar­czyk serv­ing the bev­er­ages.

The Ed­wards Holden B-grade reg­u­lar sea­son will finish this week­end, with only A-grade ac­tion to be played out be­fore the fi­nals be­gin.
