Numbers down as wet weather continues
The wet-weather golf continued at the weekend and that, combined with the Cuballing Open, meant numbers and scores were down at Narrogin.
Bill Rybarczyk took the honours on Saturday with 34 points from Les Chitty on 31 and Eric Hall on 30. The competition was a little closer in Sunday’s Captain and Vice-Captain Monthly Mugs, with Russell Cowcher’s 84/12/72 prevailing in a countback from Graham Doust also with 72 to claim the A-grade mug.
Peter Borgas secured the B-grade mug with a 79 nett, also in a countback from Frank Goater on 79.
Terry Wilkins had the best gross with 89, while Steve Williams went from chocolates to boiled lollies taking out the NAGA.
We have the Bird Cameron Stableford event on Saturday followed by the Joe Sussex Memorial Foursomes Championships on Sunday with Ryan O’Dea, Lindsay Scott and Robert Rybarczyk serving the beverages.
The Edwards Holden B-grade regular season will finish this weekend, with only A-grade action to be played out before the finals begin.
