Academy passes on higher skills
Last Saturday Narrogin Junior Basketball had the WA Basketball Academy in town to conduct skills sessions with our juniors.
Francis Cranshaw was the head coach for the day and there were three different session for under-12s, under-14s and under-18s with a total 66 players taking part.
They were shown a variety of skills to develop their basketball to a higher level including intensive drills related to lay-ups, shooting and defensive work.
The Narrogin Junior Basketball Association is working towards developing a basketball academy in Narrogin for 16 to 18-year-olds this year which will be done with help from the WA Basketball Academy with hopes to develop it further to allow all ages to join the program in future years.
