Loads of fun for all
We have picked out some of the must-see and must-do events at this year’s Albany Agricultural Show that stars tomorrow and runs until Saturday.
1. New venue
The Centennial Stadium and agriculture pavilions are a stunning addition to Albany and will bring a new atmosphere to the event.
2. Animals and competitions
The animals will be headlined by the largest alpaca competition in WA. This section is always a hit with revellers of all ages.
3. Sheep dog trials
Trials will be held in Centennial Stadium — the ideal place to view the dogs at work.
Albany’s skies will be lit up on Friday night for a fireworks spectacular. A must-see!
5. Sideshow alley
Showbags and rides will be set up near Lockyer Avenue.
6. Cooking demonstrations
Denmark local and celebrity chef Anna Gare will run a number of cooking demonstrations that will get the crowd’s taste buds flowing.
7. Town ‘N’ Country ute muster
Judging starts Saturday morning with trophy presentations at 2pm, followed by a thrilling whip-cracking competition.
