Pin­gelly ad­vance to grand fi­nal

Pin­gelly have se­cured their place in this year’s Nar­ro­gin and Dis­tricts Net­ball As­so­ci­a­tion A1 grand fi­nal af­ter a thrilling win over Wa­gin last Satur­day.

Pin­gelly got out to a com­fort­able nine-goal lead at half-time, but Wa­gin worked them­selves back into the match af­ter the main break.

Wa­gin outscored Pin­gelly 26-21 in the sec­ond half, but fell four goals short at the end of play, with Pin­gelly pre­vail­ing 47-43.

Alex Ferns and Sheree Blechyn­den were Pin­gelly’s best for the match, while Felice Crisp and Ata El­liot im­pressed for Wa­gin.

Wil­liams will take on Wa­gin next week af­ter their con­vinc­ing vic­tory over Wick­epin.

Wil­liams held a sin­gle goal lead against the War­riors at half-time, but blew the game open to a 57-40 win in the end.

Lau­ren Schutz and Claire Hardie made no­tice­able ap­pear­ances for Wil­liams, as Kelly Steere and Carly Smith led Wick­epin.

In A2 di­vi­sion 1, Olympics Turquoise’s 10-3 sec­ond quar­ter pushed them out to a 17-15 ad­van­tage over Pin­gelly at half-time. The match went into over­time with the score 34-all at full-time.

Turquoise fi­nally se­cured a 45-42 vic­tory in over­time to progress to the di­vi­sion’s grand fi­nal.

Pin­gelly will face Wa­gin next week­end, af­ter their tight 46-42 vic­tory against Wick­epin Red in the A2/1 elim­i­na­tion fi­nal.
